PME Professional Masters Programme

The PME diplomas and masters awards are internationally recognised qualifications. The programme consists of 3 modules: SUGARPASTE, SUGAR FLOWERS & ROYAL ICING. A diploma is awarded to successful completion of each module, and once all three have been completed students are awarded the coveted PME Masters Certificate. The programme is ideal for those wishing to sell to either family and friends or commercially as they not only cover professional sugar craft techniques but also look at the business side of this wonderful art.

Our resident PME tutor Leigh Muschette is one of the best PME instructors in the world. She consistently appears on PME’s Hall of Fame and is held in high esteem throughout the industry and has armfuls of awards and fantastic testimonials from her UK and international students – so you are in safe hands. Don’t just take our word for it. Here is what a recent student has to say:

“Thank you to Cakes of Good Taste and Leigh Muschette for being such an inspiration and excellent teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the PME Professional Diploma in Sugarcraft. Each module was well paced, full of great tips and I learnt so much and gained loads of confidence. If cake design is your business or you just want to learn a wealth of skills, then I highly recommend taking all three modules (Sugarpaste, Sugarflowers and Royal Icing) to receive your PME Masters Diploma”

The PME courses are a rolling programme so there is lots of choices and options for attending modules. Most individual modules are taught throughout the year in 4-day intensive slots (Tuesday-Friday), but we also have Saturday courses and an intensive 11-day programme (all 3 modules back-to-back) for those in a hurry. These intensive courses are not suitable for complete beginners. If you are just getting started in sugar craft then we recommend that you take an introductory course first before attempting the PME courses, but if you have any hesitation as to your suitability then please get in contact with us and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

If all 3 individual modules are booked at the same time then you will receive a discount of £45 (this discount does not apply to the 11- day intensive courses).  Students will also be given a complimentary PME Professional Course Kit and booklet which will be yours to take away with you at the end of your course.

Please note: Once deposits and fees are paid they cannot be returned if you can no longer attend, however you may, subject to availability transfer to another date.  Any balance outstanding must be paid before attending the course.  If you require any help and advice for travel arrangements then please get in touch. There are many reasonably priced hotels in the area for those requiring accommodation and the school has excellent train and road links.

Please note: All students must be able to speak English.

Most of the modules are taught over 4 consecutive days, but there are a few variations allowing students to be taught over 5 days (shorter days) or consecutive weekends. We also have an 11 days intensive course which allows students with some experience to take all 3 modules back-to-back. The 11 day course are also ideal for overseas students so that you will not need to stay in the UK much longer than the 11 days. This is also ideal for students wishing to gain their certificates in a hurry.

The programme is a rolling programme so you can take your time and choose a time to suit you for each module. There is no time limit and the courses do not need to be taken in any particular order.   If you are in hurry you can take them in quick succession, or you can space out your modules over a period of a few months. I am attaching the current dates available for 2017.
